Trailer.dev runs container-based workspaces and layers a few platform features on top of them. This section covers the ones you will use most.

Access control

• Permissions and access control: admins, ownership, host capabilities, per-resource grants, and the transitive rules between them.

Workspace access and routing

• Workspace URLs and routing: expose services running inside a workspace at public URLs, served either through the agent proxy or through Traefik.
• Traefik routing: the reverse-proxy routing mode in depth, including domains, authentication middlewares, and TLS.

Hardware

• GPU and NVIDIA acceleration: attach GPU and DRI devices to a workspace for hardware-accelerated workloads.
• Resource monitoring: the agent reports container resource usage and health back to the server for display in the UI.

Virtual desktops

• Linux virtual desktops: webtop-based desktops with a noVNC viewer in the browser.
• Windows virtual desktops: full Windows VMs with a noVNC viewer in the browser.
